Sauntering Through Southern France

While based at our cosy and quiet chateau, we spent most afternoons exploring the neighboring towns. An afternoon in Le Grau-du-Roi, the next in Montpellier, another in Marseille....

We kept busy so the photos are beautiful, but tell no story. Since there isn't enough from each day to tell a proper story, I thought I'd toss them all in one big post so you can see all the lovely things we saw, with none of the confusion.

I hope you feel some of the magic we felt.

We kicked off our explorations in the tiny seaside town of Le Grau-du-Roi.

With a quick visit to Montpellier - catching the city's quiet corners....

Before returning the next day to visit the bustling city in time for the Grand Bazaar.

Of course, you've already seen our visit to the Papal Palace in Avignon

And the Pont d'Avignon

But after all those advetures, we capped our southern strolls with a visit to Marseille

Where we played by the seaside

And stumbled on a stunning church

Such beautiful adventures with loved ones, those are certainly days I will never forget - and hope to experience more like it in the new year!
